  • Draw poker. In this, each player is dealt 5 cards and the betting starts. Players can attempt to trade as much as three cards by changing them from the deck. If a place has an Ace, he can change all four of his cards.

  • Raise. The player who supports a good hand of cards increases the bet in order to gain more profit out of the game. This is known as raise. 
  • Fold. When a player can not match the wager bet or if he does not have a good hand of cards and wants to leave the game, he quits the game so that he does not leave any further chips. This is called fold. 
  • Call. Call is the term used when all the players decide to increase the wager bet. After the first bet takes place, the players have a choice. If they want they can raise or fold or call. 
  • Check. When no player increases the wager bet that is required to equal the table, a player may stand pat by checking, or passing on his option to bet.
  • High card. If there is no significant order in the cards, the value of his set is known as the highest value of cards. If two players have the same high card, then the second highest card would break the tie.
  • One pair. A pair is formed when you have two of any of the same cards.
  • Two pairs. When more than one player has two pairs, the player with the highest pair wins.
  • Three of a kind. When the player has three cards of same number and supporting the same type. 
  • Straight. A straight is a five-card hand consisting of a running sequence of cards, regardless of suit. If two players show straight in a poker game, the one with the high value of cards wins. 
  • Flush. When all the cards are in a single suit.
  • Full house. When a player has three-of-a-kind and a pair in the same hand, it is called a Full House.
  • Four of a kind. If you have all four of a given number, then you have a very powerful hand.
  • Straight flush. When four of a kind, a straight flush is made up of five consecutive cards, all from the same suit.
  • Royal flush. The best hand of them all is this famous combination, formed by a Straight Flush that runs to the Ace, making it unbeatable.
